Happy Monday, & welcome to Supreme Court Brief! I’m Avalon Zoppo. Justice Sonia Sotomayor spoke at the Association of American Law Schools annual meeting in San Diego this month and touched on everything from her strong dissents to what her law school experience was like, as well as her thoughts on the recent trend of hours-long oral arguments. We’ll take a look at her comments, as well as the lawyers arguing before the justices today.

Thanks for reading. We welcome feedback and tips. Contact Avalon Zoppo at [email protected] and follow her on Twitter @AvalonZoppo.
