A year and a half ago, the Supreme Court struck down a century-old New York gun law and dramatically changed the way courts interpret the Second Amendment.

This week will mark the biggest test of the court's Bruen decision as the justices consider whether a federal law banning those under domestic violence restraining orders from owning guns runs afoul of the constitutional right to "keep and bear arms."

Welcome to this edition of The Supreme Court Brief. The justices will hand down orders from their Friday conference at 9:30 a.m. Monday before taking the bench.
