The court added four new cases to the October 2024 term on Monday morning, steadily building up a fascinating docket of civil and criminal cases for the fall and winter months. Before then, though, the court will continue releasing opinions in previously argued cases until summer recess kicks off in July. The justices are expected to announce additional opinions on Thursday and Friday. The court has released 38 opinions so far, with 23 cases to go. Among those outstanding rulings are some of the biggest cases of the term, involving everything from President Donald Trump’s criminal immunity to emergency abortion safeguards.
