Legal lobbyists, start your engines: The Texas House and Senate have announced which lawmakers will serve on the committees that handle bills that impact the legal profession.
In the lower chamber, attorneys' and judges' eyes should focus on the House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee and the House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee. In the upper chamber, the Senate State Affairs Committee and the Senate Criminal Justice Committee are the ones to watch.
Texas Lawyer searched lawmakers' House or Senate profiles, campaign websites, personal financial statements and the Texas Tribune Ethics Explorer to learn basic biographical facts about each committee member.
