Last month, the State Bar of Texas made a point by taking away Charles Sebesta’s law license after concluding that the ex-prosecutor failed to turn over exculpatory evidence in a high-profile case that wrongly sent a man to death row. And now Sebesta is trying to get his bar card back.

Sebesta filed a notice of appeal with the Texas Board of Disciplinary Appeals on July 9, indicating that he’ll argue that the bar has wrongly taken his license because they previously cleared him of any wrongdoing.
