At the University of Texas of Arlington, administrators will shutter a legal clinic for students by July 17.

With the closing, the administrators seek to avoid a high risk of liability by providing legal services directly to the students, according to a May 1 letter by Ronald Elsenbaumer provost and vice president for academic affairs. The letter was sent to Vistasp Karbhari, the UTA president. The student newspaper, The Shorthorn, posted the letter.
