Ink-stained advocates should turn their eyes in the direction of Lubbock. Starting Aug. 1, Texas Tech University School of Law will serve as the national headquarters for Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers.

The school expects Scribes to keep its headquarters in Lubbock for at least three years, and possibly permanently.

Kari Abitbol, a spokeswoman for the school, wrote in an email that the law school will initiate a virtual Scribes board meeting in the fall, but a CLE and a physical board meeting will take place in Chicago later in the spring.
