Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton named a new legal team to replace Joe Kendall, who quit unexpectedly in late August.
Paxton's new attorneys are Dan Cogdell, principal and founder of the Cogdell Law Firm in Houston, and Fort Worth criminal-defense solo Terri Moore.
Cogdell has tried nearly 300 jury trials and he has been named lawyer of the year by the Harris County Criminal Lawyer's Association, said a Paxton press release. Moore is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and she formerly served as first assistant district attorney in Dallas.
