After a disappointing 2015, Dallas-based Strasburger & Price posted a more profitable year in 2016, with net income up by 1.9 percent on flat revenue growth.

Gross revenue for the firm was $93.5 million in 2016, unchanged from the prior year, but net income came in at $27 million compared with $26.5 million the year before. Revenue per lawyer was $480,000 in 2016, up 2.1 percent from $470,000 in 2015, and profits per partner were $410,000, an improvement of 7.9 percent when compared with $380,000 the year before.

“We had a better year in a number of areas, which led to profits being up. We felt like it was a good year. We had some success in some contingent-fee litigation, which helped,” said Dan Butcher, managing partner of Strasburger.
