Morgan Lewis is expanding its global transactions and Latin America practices with new Houston partners Juan-Pablo “John” Crespo and Adrian Talamantes, who both come from King & Spalding.

Crespo joined Morgan Lewis on May 22, while Talamantes is set to come on board on May 30.

Crespo said that while it was not easy to leave King & Spalding after more than 17 years, he was attracted to Morgan Lewis' “transactional footprint” and its finance and M&A capabilities in Latin America. He was also attracted by the firm's strong funds practice, he said.
