When Conroe, Texas, lawyer Tom Trott and his wife, Cynthia, bought a second home on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, they knew there would be an onslaught of tourists visiting their property each spring.

The visitors don't come to meet the Texas lawyer, however. They show up to check out a 115-year-old flowering bush.

And it's not just any flowering bush. It's the largest rhododendron bush in North America. It measures 40 feet tall and 35 feet wide.
