Houston trial lawyer Robert Schick, who left Vinson & Elkins in 2014 to open a litigation boutique in Houston, returned to V&E Monday, citing client needs.

Schick said during the time he's practiced at Schick & Copeland, he continued to work with V&E lawyers on some client matters. But because a few clients need the expertise that only a full-service firm can provide, he decided it was best for the clients that he return to the firm where he previously practiced for 32 years.

“It made sense to come home,” Schick said.
