Stefanie Moll, Morgan Lewis & Bockius

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius added a health care practice to its Houston office with two lateral partners from Baker & Hostetler.

Susan Feigin Harris and Donna Clark joined Morgan Lewis on Monday.

Stefanie Moll, managing partner for the 62-lawyer Morgan Lewis office in Houston, said she expects other health care lawyers to join Harris and Clark later this month but she declined to say if any will come from Baker & Hostetler.

“We are just looking forward to rounding out the team and adding additional team members by the end of the month,” she said.

Harris said she and Clark were attracted to Morgan Lewis' large health care practice and the clients it has in the life sciences area. She said they both know health care lawyers at Morgan Lewis.

“There's a lot that Morgan Lewis really has to offer in terms of its national, international scope,” she said. “In the health care space in particular, we know some of those folks and respect them greatly.”

Harris and Clark represent hospitals, health systems and other medical providers in regulatory, transactions, litigation and government investigations work. They declined to identify the clients they brought with them.

Harris and Clark were among a group of health care lawyers who joined Baker & Hostetler's Houston office in 2006 after leaving Vinson & Elkins. Lisa Pennington, managing partner of the Baker & Hostetler Houston office, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Morgan Lewis has nearly 300 health care layers in Washington, D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston.
