Correction: This article has been updated to reflect that that while the task force chaired by Dallas solo practitioner Lisa Blue has met several times, it has not provided any budget recommendations at this time.
The State Bar of Texas could see its expenditures drop by 5 percent compared to the current year's spending level if the proposed 2018-2019 budget is approved.
State Bar President-elect Joe Longley, the budget committee's chair, said his goal is to try to get a 10 percent reduction in spending.
