Dallas’ Fifth Court of Appeals has affirmed the dismissal of libel claims lodged against Baylor University and Pepper Hamilton in connection with an investigation the law firm conducted into reports of alleged sexual assault involving football players.

Colin Shillinglaw, who served as Baylor’s director of football operations from 2008 until 2015, sued the school and Pepper Hamilton last year in a Dallas state district court after the school received national scrutiny for alleged mismanagement of several complaints from women claiming they were sexually assaulted by Baylor players on campus.
