Lawyers from Dallas-based Haynes and Boone who are representing a Honduran woman seeking U.S. asylum used an unusual legal strategy to secure a temporary restraining order from a federal judge, thereby delaying the client’s deportation.
Their tactics, which invoked the constitutional right to due process, could be used by other lawyers handling asylum cases.
