A Dallas attorney who has defended himself in a bevvy of attorney disciplinary cases has denied the allegations in two cases filed this year. Eric Gormly claims that the lawyer discipline system has become a weapon for disgruntled clients or opposing counsel.

In addition to the two 2018 cases, Gormly is also fighting an ongoing 2017 disciplinary case that’s progressing through discovery. In the past, he successfully won the dismissal of a 2015 case, but accepted an agreed judgment for an earlier grievance resulting in his law license being suspended for one month in 2014 followed by probation through January 2016.
