Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld is the highest-ranking Texas firm among 102 large law firms nationally included in The American Lawyer’s most recent Midlevel Associates Survey.
High scores from third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates at Akin Gump propelled the 858-lawyer firm into seventh place on the annual ranking, down one spot from last year. Vinson & Elkins was not far behind, taking the 18th spot on the list, improving from 41st in 2017.
