Darren Nicholson, a litigator, has joined Burns Charest in Dallas as a partner. Nicholson, who began his legal career in 2001 at Washington, D.C.-based Arnold & Porter and joined Sayles Werbner in 2008, has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes in courts across the nation.

Jeffrey J. Zissa has joined the Dallas office of Polsinelli as a shareholder in its real estate finance practice. He has advised clients on all aspects of complex commercial real estate and mortgage transactions on a national scale. Joseph F. Esposito has joined the firm in Dallas as an associate in its corporate and transactional practice.

Banks Bruce and Zackary Pullin have been promoted to partners in Sidley Austin. Based in the firm's Dallas office, Banks is in the global finance practice. Pullin is in the Houston office, where he is in the tax, employee benefits and executive compensation practice.

Greta Cowart and Kal Grant have joined Jackson Walker in Dallas as partners. Cowart is a labor and employment lawyer, and Grant is in wealth planning. Christian Triantaphyllis has joined the firm as a partner and Catharine Yen has joined as senior counsel. Both are based in the Houston office. Triantaphyllis focuses on foreign investment and immigration matters, and Yen is in the real estate practice.

New Texas-based partners in Dykema are: John C. Dulske, government policy and practice; Brandon E. Durrett, corporate finance; Adam R. Nunnallee, financial services litigation; and Jason M. Ross, commercial litigation. Dulske and Durrett work out of the firm's San Antonio office. Nunnallee and Ross are in the firm's Dallas office.

Brian Cathey and Andrew Nelson have been promoted to partners in Houston-based Wright Close & Barger. Cathey focuses on complex litigation and appeals, representing petroleum, insurance and construction clients. Nelson advises clients on complex appellate matters and also handles a variety of civil litigation, including serious personal injury and insurance coverage.

Blank Rome's new Texas partners are Katherine Franco and Domingo Manuel Llagostera, intellectual property and technology, and Joshua A. Huber, corporate litigation. All three attorneys work in the firm's Houston office.

Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the following partner promotions in its Texas offices. In Dallas, the new partners are: Brandon Byrne, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities; Jorge Gutierrez, energy transactions; James V. Leito IV, financial institutions and insurance; and Benjamin Ratliff, corporate finance. New partners in Houston are: Jamila S. Mensah, employment and labor; Daniel Prati, intellectual property disputes; and Eliot Turner, antitrust and competition. Stephanie Leibe, public finance, is a new partner in Austin.

Lindsey T. Kellam has joined Wilson Cribbs + Goren in Houston as an associate. Kellam is in the firm's real estate and land use law practice groups.
