Tony Guerino has joined Womble Bond Dickinson as a partner in its new Houston office. Guerino has more than 20 years of experience in energy and environmental litigation involving oil exploration and production disputes. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Guerino worked as a petroleum and natural gas engineer.
Erin F. Fonté has joined Hunton Andrews Kurth as a partner in its Austin office and co-head of the firm's financial institutions corporate and regulatory practice. She previously was a partner and executive board member at Dykema Gossett.
Laura Benitez Geisler, the current president of the Dallas Bar Association, has joined a Dallas-based personal injury and commercial litigation firm now known as Sommerman, McCaffity, Quesada & Geisler. She has become a partner in the firm.
Thompson & Knight has announced eight new partners in the firm. Those promoted in the Houston office are C. Walker Brierre, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions; Stephen W. Grant Jr., corporate finance and securities law; and Megan H. Schmid, trial practice. New partners in the Dallas office are Mitchell L. Griffith, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance and other corporate matters; David Lawrence, real estate and real estate financial matters; Lee Meyercord, federal, state and local taxation of corporations, partnerships and individuals; and Meghan Nylin, business litigation matters. Jessica S. Morrison, who focuses her practice on employee benefits, executive compensation and taxation, is a new partner in the Fort Worth office.
Kris Hufstetler has joined the Houston office of KoonsFuller Family Law as an associate. Hufstetler formerly was an associate with Ketterman Rowland & Westlund.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Susan K. Declercq, is 2:24-cv-13131, The Town Residences LLC v. T-Mobile US, Inc. et al.
