Three of the 10 law schools in Texas landed on Law.com’s Top 50 Go-To list this year. The University of Texas School of Law was ranked the highest at no. 16, followed by the University of Houston Law Center at no. 29, and rounded out by Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law at no. 32.

In terms of big changes from last year’s Go-To List, the University of Houston Law Center made a huge jump from No. 43. According to Law.com—an affiliate of Texas Lawyer—the Houston law school saw 16.37 percent of its 2018 graduating class secure jobs at a top 100 law firm. Comparatively, the University of Texas School of Law sent more than double that percentage with 34 percent of recent graduates joining top 100 firms. SMU’s Dedman saw 14.8 percent of 2018 grads land in Big Law.
