Practice Profile: Wahlberg focuses her practice on various areas of environmental law, including the Endangered Species Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy Act. She recently led the team assisting client Renewable Energy Systems Americas in obtaining an incidental take permit for the potential take of black-capped vireo that may occur during the construction of the $260 million Heart of Texas wind energy facility in McCullough County. Wahlberg's role included development and negotiation of the habitat conservation plan with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and identifying and securing a mitigation parcel with a local landowner.
