Practice Profile: Blankenship co-chairs Locke Lord's Capital Markets Section where he focuses his practice on corporate finance and securities law, including securities offerings, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) offerings and transactions, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate representation. In 2018, he served as co-lead of a team that provided legal counsel to the ‎Conflicts ‎Committee of Spectra Energy Partners (SEP) in the successful conversion ‎of all of Enbridge ‎Inc.'s incentive distribution rights and general partner economic ‎interests in SEP into ‎‎172.5 million newly issued SEP common units, valued at approximately $7.2 billion.

An awards ceremony in their honor will be held on Sept. 18 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. The Attorney of the Year award winner will be announced at the ceremony.
