For the second time this week, Beaumont attorney John S. Morgan has lost an appeal seeking to overturn sanctions he faces in underlying litigation.

On Friday, the Texas Supreme Court rejected an appeal in which Morgan argued to overturn $65,000 in costs, attorney fees and sanctions that a trial court imposed on him for filing a lawsuit against his ex-wife’s divorce attorney. An appellate court has already determined the trial court erred by not awarding even more in appellate fees to family attorney Sheryl Johnson-Todd.
