Intermediate Appellate Courts
|Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana
Justice, Place 3
Incumbent Justice Ralph K. Burgess has won reelection after running unopposed in the Republican primary. No Democratic candidate is running against him in November.
|Seventh Court of Appeals in Amarillo
Chief Justice
Incumbent Chief Justice Brian Quinn, who ran unopposed in the Republican primary, has won another term in office, as there is no one running on the Democratic side in November.
Justice, Place 4
With only 414 votes difference between them, the race between Republican candidates Steven Denny and incumbent Justice Larry Doss is very close, but it appears that Denny has scored the win. No one is running for the seat on the Democratic side in November.
Republican primary results:
- Denny – 45,891 votes, or 50.2%
- Doss (incumbent) – 45,477 votes, or 49.8%
Eighth Court of Appeals in El Paso
Chief Justice
Yvonne Rodriguez won the Democratic primary to become a candidate for chief justice on this court. She will compete in November against Republican incumbent Chief Justice Jeff Alley, who ran unopposed in his primary.
Democratic primary results:
- Rodriguez – 60%
- Angie Juarez Barill – 40%
Ninth Court of Appeals in Beaumont
Chief Justice
Scott Golemon and Jay Wright, the top two vote-getters in the Republican primary, are headed to a runoff election for this seat. Whoever wins the runoff will win the bench, as there is no Democratic candidate running in November.
Republican primary results:
- Golemon – 25%
- Wright – 25%
- Chuck "Charles B." Meyer – 20%
- Colleen Cordts Rice – 16%
- Jarrod Lee Walker – 14%
10th Court of Appeals in Waco
Justice, Place 3
Incumbent Republican Justice John E. Neill has won election after running unopposed in his party's primary. He won't face a Democrat in November.
Justice, Place 2
Matt Johnson, who was unopposed in the Republican primary, has won election. He won't face a Democratic contender in November's election.
|11th Court of Appeals in Eastland
Justice, Place 2
Bruce Williams won the Republican primary and effectively won election as Justice, Place 2. He is not facing a Democratic challenger in November.
Republican primary results:
- Williams – 75%
- Frank Hunold – 25%
Justice, Place 3
Without a Republican primary opponent, W. Stacy Trotter has won election to this bench. Trotter doesn't face a Democratic opponent in November.
|12th Court of Appeals in Tyler
Chief Justice
Incumbent Chief Justice Jim Worthen, who was unopposed in the Republican primary, has won reelection to another term. There is no Democratic candidate challenging him in the November election.
|13th Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi and McAllen
Justice, Place 6
The Republican candidate in November will be Clarissa Silva, who will battle for the seat against Democratic candidate Nereida Lopez-Singleterry. Both candidates were unopposed in their primaries.
Justice, Place 4
Incumbent Justice Jaime Tijerina, who was unopposed in the Republican primary, will compete in November against Democratic challenger Migdalia Lopez, who was also unopposed.
|Collin County District Courts
380th District Court
Incumbent Judge Ben Smith won the Republican primary for this bench. He will now compete in the November general election against unopposed Democratic candidate Penny Robe.
Republican primary results:
- Smith – 82%
- Melvin Thathiah – 18%
401st District Court
Republican primary candidates Sarah Fox and George Flint are headed to a runoff election for this bench. Whoever wins will compete in the November general election against unopposed Democratic candidate Tonya Holt.
Republican primary results:
- Fox – 40%
- Flint – 39.5%
- Brook Fulks – 20%
El Paso County District Courts
346th District Court
Paty Baca has won election to this bench after winning the Democratic primary. No one is opposing her on the Republican side in the November election.
Democratic primary results:
- Baca – 57%
- Ruben Nunez – 43%
383rd District Court
Lucila Flores and Lyda Ness Garcia must compete in a runoff election to see who becomes the Democratic candidate for this bench. Whoever wins the runoff will compete in the November general election against Phyllis Martinez Gonzalez, who was unopposed in the Republican primary.
Democratic primary results:
- Flores – 37%
- Garcia – 32%
- Patrick Bramblett – 31%
388th District Court
Marlene Gonzalez and incumbent Judge Laura Strathmann have advanced to a runoff election for this bench. Whoever wins the runoff will win the seat, since there's no one running on the Republican side in November.
Democratic Primary results:
- Gonzalez – 43%
- Strathman (incumbent) – 40%
- Ricardo "Rick" Rios – 17%
448th District Court
Incumbent Judge Sergio H. Enriquez won reelection after finding victory in the Democratic primary. No one is challenging him as a Republican in November.
Democratic primary results:
- Enriquez – 54%
- Abe Gonzalez – 46%
El Paso County Criminal District Court No. 1
Incumbent Judge Diane Rosaura Navarrete has won reelection to her bench after winning the Democratic primary. No one is running against her in November on the Republican side.
Democratic primary results:
- Navarrete – 68%
- Octavio A. Dominguez – 32%
Fort Bend County District Courts
387th District Court
After winning the Democratic primary, Janet Buening Heppard will compete in the November general election against incumbent Judge Brenda Mullinix, who was unopposed in the Republican primary.
Democratic primary results:
- Heppard – 67%
- Jamie Zand – 34%
400th District Court
Tameika Carter has won the Democratic primary, and now will compete in the November general election against incumbent Judge Maggie Jaramillo, who was unopposed in her primary.
Democratic primary results:
- Carter – 74%
- Derek Obialo – 26%
434th District Court
Christian Becerra has won the Democratic primary for this bench, and goes on to face incumbent Judge James H. "Jim" Shoemake in the November election.
Democratic primary results:
- Becerra – 57%
- Oscar M. Telfair III – 43%
505th District Court
Kali Morgan and Surendran K. Pattel are headed for a runoff as the top two vote-getters in the Democratic primary. Whoever wins the runoff will challenge incumbent Republican Judge David S. Perwin in the November general election.
Democratic primary results:
- Morgan – 45%
- Pattel – 30%
- Daniel Lee – 25%
Cameron County District Courts
138th District Court
Democratic candidates Helen Delgadillo and Gabriela "Gabby" Garcia are headed to a runoff election as the top two vote-getters in a three-way race. The runoff will decide the election, since no one is running on the Republican side in November.
Democratic primary results:
- Garcia – 48%
- Delgadillo – 31%
- Myles R. Garza – 21%
404th District Court
Ricardo M. Adobbati has won the Democratic primary, and will win this bench, as no one is running on the Republican side in November.
Democratic primary results:
- Adobbati – 59%
- Louis Sorola – 41%
Lubbock County District Courts
99th District Court
A runoff election between Republican candidates Kara L. Darnell and Phillip Hays will decide who presides over this bench, as there is no Democratic candidate running in November.
Republican primary results:
- Darnell – 42%
- Hays – 30%
- Mark McBrayer – 18%
- John Grace – 9%
140th District Judge
The top two vote-getters in the Republican primary, Douglas H. Freitag and Tom Brummett, are now headed for a runoff election. Whoever wins the runoff will win the seat, as there is no Democratic challenger in November.
Republican primary results;
- Freitag – 45%
- Brummett – 26%
- Robert Sullivan – 18%
- Ryan C. Gentry – 11%
District Courts Spread Across Texas
335th District Court in Bastrop County
Incumbent Judge Reva L. Towslee Corbett has won reelection to her bench after winning the Republican primary. There's no Democratic contender in the November election.
Republican primary results:
- Corbett – 62%
- Charles W. Carver – 38%
142nd District Court in Midland County
A runoff election between Republican candidates David G. Rogers and Mary Baker will decide who presides over this court, since no Democratic challenger is running in November.
Republican Primary results:
- Rogers – 48%
- Baker – 41%
- Wayne Frost – 11%
347th District Court in Nueces County
Incumbent Judge Missy Medary won the Republican primary by a landslide. Now she will compete in the November general election against Deborah Rios, who was unopposed in the Democratic primary.
Republican primary results:
- Medary – 80%
- Guy Williams – 20%
50th District Court in Baylor County
Jennifer A. Habert has won election to this court after winning the Republican primary, as there is no Democratic challenger in November.
Republican primary results:
- Habert – 58%
- Lina R. Trevino – 42%
402nd District Court in Wood County
J. Brad McCampbell has won the Republican primary, and ousted an incumbent judge in the process. McCampbell will take the bench, as there is no Democratic contender running in November.
Republican primary results:
- McCambell – 54%
- Jeff Fletcher (incumbent) – 46%

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.

The suit, filed Sept. 3 in Texas Eastern District Court by Rozier Hardt McDonough on behalf of Alto Dynamics, asserts five patents related to an online shopping platform.
