Revenue increased in 2019 at three of the five Texas firms on the 2020 Am Law 100, but none of the five gained any ground in the rankings, even as overall revenue growth for the country's largest 100 law firms by revenue slowed.

Gross revenue grew by 5% for the 100 highest-grossing U.S. firms in 2019, increasing to a record-setting $104 billion, and 86 of the 100 firms reported gains in gross revenue in 2019. Kirkland & Ellis again topped the chart with gross revenue of $4.154 billion, up 10.6% from the prior year.

Texas firms Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Vinson & Elkins, Baker Botts, Locke Lord, and Haynes and Boone are on the 2020 Am Law 100. The same five Texas firms made the list last year.
