Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton has added a patent practice in Texas as the midsize firm Wednesday brought on a group of five intellectual property lawyers and a corporate partner, all coming from Winstead.

It’s the second time Shackelford Bowen has grabbed a large group from Dallas-based Am Law 200 firm Winstead. In June 2019, a group of seven commercial litigators left Winstead to open a Houston office for Shackelford Bowen, which is a business, aviation and entertainment firm with other offices in Dallas, Frisco, Fort Worth and Austin, along with Nashville, Tennessee, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
