A Houston attorney was sentenced to two years in federal prison Wednesday for his convictions in a tax-evasion prosecution.

Judge Lynn N. Hughes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas also sentenced Steve Pursley to pay $1.79 million in restitution, $100,000 in fines and $400 in special assessments for his convictions for conspiracy to defraud the United States and three counts of felony tax evasion.
