The date jury trials can resume statewide was pushed back again to Oct. 1 in a new Texas Supreme Court emergency order.
The high court initially banned jury trials across Texas—except for a limited number of approved experimental trials—until Aug. 1, but had already pushed back that date to Sept. 1. This 22nd emergency order extends the date for one more month.
