For the second time in two years, a group of women have sued Austin-area police and the district attorney’s office, alleging systemic, unconstitutional discrimination towards female sexual assault survivors.

The new litigation involves four sexual assault survivors who filed a class action lawsuit Monday that alleged that for years, the defendants have not believed, dismissed and denigrated women who reported their rapes to authorities.
