Incumbent Judge Susan McCoy, a Republican, is running for reelection to the 153rd District Court against challenger Alisha Darden, a Democrat.

McCoy argues she has eight years on that bench, and voters should pick her because of her experience and integrity. But Darden counters that she also has judicial experience as an administrative law judge, and that she would bring greater diversity to the court.
