After accepting Steve Fischer’s resignation from the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct last month, the State Bar of Texas board of directors now has appointed a member to replace him.

Tyler solo practitioner Clifton Roberson will be the judicial commission’s next member, after his appointment at a virtual board meeting Friday. He will be one of two attorney members on the commission, which is charged with disciplining judges for ethical violations. Other members on the 13-person commission are appointed by the governor and the Texas Supreme Court.
