On August 25th, Wendy Rittenhouse, a 45-year-old single mom, allegedly drove her minor son Kyle across state lines from Illinois to Wisconsin knowing that he had an AR-15 assault rifle with him.
He is now charged with shooting and killing two protesters and wounding a third on the streets of Kenosha.
His attorneys have said Rittenhouse acted in self-defense and have portrayed him as a courageous patriot who was exercising his right to bear arms, which he is seen doing in the AP photo taken on the night of the killings.
