The Texas House committee that handles bills about the judiciary has put out a call to learn how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted court operations.

The Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee is asking if courts have had a hard time getting the personal protective equipment they need for their courts or staff. Lawmakers asked about the courts’ experience using video court proceedings, and whether COVID-19 has impacted court staff by making teleworking or flexible shifts necessary.
