Big changes are once again coming regarding discovery rules in Texas family law cases. These amendments take effect for cases filed on or after Jan. 1, 2021.

Some of these changes are welcomed because they will expedite discovery and require early exchange of needed information. But, with expedited automatic discovery there is an increased cost to clients and that can be a downside for parties who view discovery as opposed to an amicable divorce.
