Houston voters ousted 339th District Judge Jesse McClure from the bench in the Democratic sweep in November, but now Gov. Greg Abbott has promoted him to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
McClure’s appointment brings diversity to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
