We'll have to wait six more weeks for the resumption of patent infringement jury trials in the Western District of Texas—or longer, if Intel can obtain another mandamus order from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

The Federal Circuit ruled last week that U.S. District Judge Alan Albright could not transfer just the trial of a high-stakes dispute between VLSI Technology Ltd. and Intel Corp. from Austin to Waco. Following an emergency motion from VLSI, Albright said at a hearing Wednesday that he will transfer the entire case.
