The lawyers gearing up to battle Google and Facebook on behalf of newspaper publishers have a history of taking on big defendants.

A team of law firms led by Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, which has litigated against Google and Facebook before, have filed the suits.

Their clients, small newspaper publishers across the country, have filed 13 suits in recent weeks, claiming their ad revenues have plummeted amid anti-competitive and monopolistic practices by the tech giants.
