Alleging that a grievance complainant defamed him during an attorney discipline proceeding, a Bryan, Texas, lawyer in a new lawsuit has revealed he was privately sanctioned after an investigatory hearing that’s typically secret.

It shows the escalation of a long-running feud that started as a landlord-tenant dispute, then brought a lawyer discipline grievance. And now in the latest move, business and tax attorney Adam Potter filed the defamation case against Christopher Mastrangelo.
