A small inventor-owned company has won a $27 million jury verdict in Oregon for infringement of patented RFID technology.

Eugene-based ADASA Inc. claimed the win May 14 over Avery Dennison Corp. following a five-day trial in Eugene. Winning attorney Jonathan Suder of Fort Worth's Friedman, Suder & Cooke said it was the first post-COVID jury trial in the courthouse. U.S. Magistrate Judge Mustafa Kasubhai of the District of Oregon presided.
