Although the COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely tough on American workers, it has been a bonanza for dogs! Last year our four-legged friends were suddenly blessed with the return of their owners’ attention, company and wit when they began working from home. In fact, this new arrangement translated into more attention, daytime walks and romps in the park (hopefully to chase squirrels) than ever before, leading some dogs to proclaim these halcyon days as their “Golden Retriever Age.”

But alas, as we’ve all learned during these difficult times, relationships are fraught with fragility, even if you’re “man’s best friend.” Now, as the courts are slowly opening again and many law firms are beginning to bring their people back to the office, dogs are having to readjust their routines to the way they were before the time of COVID-19 (lots and lots of sleeping during the day, punctuated by short intervals of barking at Amazon delivery drivers or watching Animal Planet).
