Samsung and LG Electronics are asking the Federal Circuit to free it from the Western District of Texas, on the ground that Ikornongo Texas allegedly manipulated venue by subdividing its patents into exclusive geographic entities. Ikorongo says the tech giants sandbagged by waiting until they lost claim construction to take their transfer case to the Federal Circuit.
