Revenue at firms in Texas grew by 6% during the first half of 2021, but the Lone Star State's gains lagged behind the national average of 14%, according to a recent survey, as the Texas legal market took a hit from the February storm and power outage, and continued market-grabbing by the influx of out-of-state firms opening in the state.

The Texas region was also the only one in the United States to show a decrease in demand during the six-month period, seeing a 1% decline. In contrast, demand grew an average of 6% nationwide, according to the new survey released by Well Fargo Private Bank Legal Specialty Group.
