Lyft Inc. general counsel Kristin Sverchek is encouraging other businesses to speak out against Texas’ new abortion law, after she and her legal team acted quickly to help the rideshare company respond to the controversial legislation.

She also said she believes “it’s important that corporate America holds government accountable and speaks out on important issues.”
