Vinson & Elkins hired Hy Pomerance, chief talent officer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, as its new chief talent officer.
Pomerance, who is based in New York, joined the firm on Monday. He replaces Patty Harris, who is retiring at the end of the year after 30 years at the Houston-founded law firm.
