O'Melveny & Myers partner Luann Simmons (Courtesy photo) VideoShare LLC is looking to make the most of a second chance in a patent infringement suit against Google LLC and subsidiary YouTube LLC.
The streaming software company founded by Harvard and MIT students in the late 1990s says it developed video-sharing methods used by YouTube. VideoShare sued the two companies in Delaware in 2016, but U.S. District Judge Gregory Sleet ruled its two patents ineligible for protection.
