Michael Newman, managing partner of Foley & Lardner’s Dallas office, has practiced there and at the legacy firm Gardere for 26 years. It’s an international firm employing more than 1,000 attorneys in 25 offices around the United States, and 100 of them practice in his Dallas office.

A recent article from Texas Takeaways on flexibility at the law firm, (i.e., returning to the office or allowing people to work remotely) caught the attention of Newman’s millennial associates, and they began emailing him about it last December.
