There is a three-way race in the Democratic Primary between Beth Payan, Paula Knippa and Rosa Lopez Theofanis for Texas' Third District Court of Appeals Place 4.
Payan served as a felony prosecutor in Travis County for over 25 years, handling every type of assault, murder, white-collar crimes and juvenile matters. She is currently the lead attorney in the Diversion Division, working to keep low-level, non-violent offenders out of jail and into the services they need.
