A three-way contest in the 312th District Court Harris County Democratic primary is heating up among the incumbent, Judge Clinton Wells, and family law attorneys Paul Calzada and Teresa Waldrop.

Wells presides over a family law court. He is licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is experienced in various areas of law including personal injury, medical malpractice and family law. He earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law, and passed the bar in 2003.
