In a busy day for Big Law lateral moves in Texas, Willkie Farr & Gallagher private equity partner Michael De Voe Piazza has joined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher as a partner in Houston, and Jones Day litigation partner Christopher R.J. Pace of Miami has moved to Winston & Strawn as a partner in Dallas.

Piazza, who was a co-head of the energy practice at Willkie and a co-managing partner of its Houston office, will serve as co-head of U.S. private equity at Gibson Dunn. His first day was Monday.
